ICSTEP will provide an international platform for global experts on science and engineering education to address issues in educating future innovative scientists and engineers to speed the progress of science, technology and innovation for the sustainable development.

TOPIC of ICSTEP¡¯08:
Engineering Education, Innovation and Globalization

Topics of interest include but are not limited to
1) The engineering education and building of national innovation system;
2) The engineering education and national development policies;
3) The globalization of engineering education;
4) The cultivation of engineering students¡¯ innovation and entrepreneurial capacity and application ability;
5) The content and pedagogies of innovative engineering education;
6) The engineering education and universities ¨C industries collaboration; and
7) The building of the innovative faculty.

Call for Papers Announcement
The conference invites researchers and policy makers, from the academic, government and ,development communities and advanced PhD students. A selection of the papers will be submitted for publication as a book or special issue of a journal.

Important Dates(updated):
July 20, 2008 - Paper submission deadline
August 15, 2008 - Notification of paper acceptance/revision
September 10, 2008 - Final version

All submissions will go through a double blind refereeing process. Submissions should indicate whether they should be considered for both a presentation and a paper. The paper should clearly indicate the complete postal and electronic mailing addresses, as well as the phone and fax numbers of the corresponding author.
